Google Adsense

I’ve tried to get ‘Google Adsense’ to my weblog, but they say that my website is primarily or entirely non-english.

WOW.. I know my english is far from perfect, but primarily not in english?
Wat do I miss?
Entering my data I noticed that I could only enter my domain, not the URL of the weblog, the button for the blog is available at the main page.
So I was not able to point to my blog .. When you visit my ‘main’ page you will find a few pages in dutch. telling who I am bla bla bla.. old, outdated….

I would love to see ‘weblogs’ from people with Adsense from ie. Europe to see if it’s not only US based… cause this answer from google is not satisfying.

Why Ads? I need to pay bandwidth .. that’s the only reason.

I agree !! So I think google sucks the way they are commercial.

When you want to have a Type-Pad weblog

You have to pay above.
I wonder if ‘The Dutch’ would pay. We have to keep a name up .. ‘We are thriftily when spending money’
But it gives me good idea’s for a foto weblog and how to setup things with MT at my local server.. For me no Type-Pad. I’m looking forward to an update of MovableType.

RSS is getting mainstream. More and more site do implement RSS for syndication usage.

I predict that in the next few months more and more NEWS sites will implement the feeds, so that there is no need for scraping anymore

If not: Dutch News sites will be not interesting as news media anymore (were they?)

I’ve tracked a number of self-scraped sites right now and 90% of the news here is from ANP or NOVUM and they copy it all.

It’s preferred that all the Local NewsPapers with the vignette server do add news. Right now I’m scraping some local stuff and it’s working. So why not use it? I see the headline; an excerpt and I visit the site and see your advertisements. Kewl not?

harddisk crash

This morning (8.53h AM) my boot-disk crashed. Drive C, D, and E (20Gig) cannot be accessed anymore
lucky my 40Gig data harddisk still works. Let’s try to find out if I can save some data from that crashed harddisk.

Try to setup my e-mail on this notebook today. but the best thing is if you want to contact me: use the comments.

Found XP CD-ROM, installed it on spare 6Gb harddisk
added the 40Gig Music Data Harddisk and I am re-installing my stuff..
It’s working .. I’m back in business..
