RFF: Linux & Quota

RFF (Request for Feedback).
My Qube3 is using ‘QUOTA’ and this is working.
But I have an issue ;-)
Different users have different quota’s (max used MB’s).
Using ie. quota -u aroundmyroom will show me the used blocks
and the maximum value.

Working great.

But I have another user from which quota is telling that the blocks is ‘refered to’ 24MB .. Where actually the site is consuming more than 200 MB

How can I fix this or how can Quota check the actual used MB’s at his home folder? (tried quotacheck but same values.. ) Please mail me:

More and more users do use the free upload tool. Again some nice submissions have been made .. Put up your images and if suitable I add it to the AroundMyRoom Free Upload Gallery.

BREIN stops JPL sharing rare remixes

Today we got the message that master mixer JPL had to stop his activities for sharing is own made music mixes. the Dutch RIAA (BREIN) told him to stop due to copyrights bla bla bla.

If they wonder why music industry is doing bad: this is one of the things causing things to go underground.

Sharing mixes (which are home made) is nothing commercial. It can only boost sales.

Tell me where I can buy 12″ Single CD’s for reasonable prices from the 80’s and I buy what I like. My taste of music are mixes and long versions of the songs created for radio. I want to hear the mix before I buy it cause nowadays crap is made too easy. JPL is one of the mixers putting time in his work and should be awarded by the music-industry.

But of course we are wrong. Something tells me I want to have a return of the DMC mix club as they were in the 80’s ..

open for discussion ..

wireless

pfff … the husband of my wife’s sister had a terrible problem with his Wireless 54G Card. Lucky I had received a new driver this week. This new driver for 02Micro Cardbus Controllers and Atheros Wireless chipsets should fix this kind of wierd problems (not connecting to wireless infrastructure networks / crashes etc. etc.

With the new driver the Acer Aspire 1700 seems to work fine.
The only thing I have to do is modify the update/re-installation of the driver cause that’s not 100% perfect yet.
