Very interesting stuff. I’m surprised I found it just today.. ;-)

This week I had a discussion about RSS feeds and the way information is being published on a website.

Changed a piece of code in Search.pm

Punkey is down. Temporary.
Due to failure of paid weblog systems (Blogger Pro), FREE services getting pop-ups and other stuff.
Punkey worked with ColdFusion and is working on a own weblog system right now.

And that is one of the reason I want ot host my own Weblog System (Movabletype).

Blogger I used more than 4 month’s during my ‘trip around the world’ and it failed more than once. When you are in youth hostels and have to pay for every minute online it’s frustrating that posts have been vanished in nowhere when you try to publish it. But hey in that time it was FREE! [services as-is]

I read from a number of people that Blogger PRO services (paid service) still failed and that they complain. People: there are good services/programs available! For free or a little donation. Do not rely on services you cannot host yourself.

Yes I still use Blogger sometimes ;-)

Search Plugin for MT installed and you can search exclusive through the entries of this weblog. Depending on your search-data it can take a while (but since everyone has a dedicated xDSL or cable connection it doesn’t matter :-)
I’ve no idea if this is going to be supported in future but right now it works perfect. (almost).

I’m not 100% satisfied with the search function at this website. I think the entries are still difficult to find.

Tonight I’m going to install a New Search Engine specific made for Movabletype, call it a plugin.

Lilian, my girlfriend, started her (life)weblog again. no RSS yet :-)
Not really necessary cause most of the time she sits next to me at our desks to enter entries into blogger :-)
But I can ask her to enter some voidstar stuff into her template of blogger ;-)

So Webloggers with Blogger/Blogspot (especially the DUTCH): make a simple RSS feed !!!!

I’ve included a searchengine to my weblog today. Items from AroundMyRoom are indexed every day by crontab.
& the best thing: it’s working!
