This morning I noticed severe loads at my private server. What happened I thought. Then I saw in my mail a lot of trackback entries. Oh Oh .. Not good. This morning I noticed +100 TrackBack Spam messages as shown below.

After removing all spam (simply banning the IP is a bug within MT as the script fails in my browser) I noticed a second spam run this afternoon (about 25 trackback spam hits).

Now, after a long time I can understand the words Bob wrote to me about not supporting TB receiving in Pivot.

Anyone hints and tips to solve this shit? (of course trackback is disabled now).

Momenteel opgescheept met een WALLA account, maar daar verdwijnt meer normale mail in de SPAM filter dan wat er in mijn normale inbox terecht komt. Erg apart ook om binnen 1 dag al spam mailtjes binnen te krijgen terwijl je er nog niets mee gedaan hebt. Met een woord is dus de service eigenlijk k.. te noemen.

Update: ik heb inmiddels via xiffy een GMAIL invitatie ontvangen

Autchsjjj.. my Athens girls page was mentioned at ORSM.net(probably NSFW) yesterday. I liked the hits, but wauw.. my Qube3 together with the DSL line I have at home could not handle the requests.
first my SNMP failed to work, than my e-mail server did stop, than my SSH server, than my FTP server.. .. extreme loads caused me to remove the page and restart the server. Now the images have been put at another server (athens.aroundmyroom.com) what is another server and is up until the bandwidth limit is reached. 4Mbps down/756Kbps up DSL is not enough for this stuff.

Today I read in a paper about surbl.org

Together with Spamassassin and Spamcopuri I have installed now a much more improved spamfilter at my webserver. Kewl ..
After running it for a number of hours now I can only say: use it!

As statistics freak I have nload running now at my qube3.
nload is monitoring network and bandwidth usage in realtime.
