LOL @ Telegraaf

Bad journalism again ..

They found through a dutch weblog the Google’s number range option showing ie. Credit Card Info. This news I wrote yesterday.
Now the Dutch Telegraaf newspaper website is crediting a dutch weblog that they discovered it Bull ..

Looking at the blogdex info shows how the evolution of the entry went. What Telegraaf does is only reporting and crediting those who report it, but writing facts is only for those who studied probably.

Better: Webwereld. They refer to Cnet .. and the same weblog as a source of the news.

But: they are late ;-)

Fixed Quota Issue

Fixed issue with quota . .

Quota is checking stuff at userlevel (ownership), I did not know this, I thought on folder level, but ‘a’ something in my mind said to check the folder and ownerships of the user.

Than I saw that the gallery from a user has ownership httpd:httpd .. Ahh that’s not the name of the user and that must be the reason why it is not counted for.

Than this account: user Aroundmyroom with consuming 1.2GB space Caused by …. my Webcam!
I’ve running 2 webcams, taking 1 image every minute ..
2x60x24x62 (2 months) .. okay a lot of images in 1 folder .. consuming about 70Kb each image.. About 1.1GB removed..

Problems solved.

Stats

visits-small.jpg

Statistics shows me a nice overview of how AroundMyRoom.com is visited through 1 month. It’s running at my own little server and home DSL line and I see that availablilty and speed is ok. So I am happy with the descision. Saves also a lot of money and gives total control.
w00t: I’m root…
