Looking forward to 31 August. A great update for Movabletype is comming. Worth the investment. My upgrade took not much dollar. I was registered donater, my upgrade was 35$ which is now 29Euro. Than there was a beta test discount and I got a credit of $20 which was about 16Euro .. So meaning the upgrade from 2.61 to 3.0 for me did not cost me more than .. As I tell you: it’s worth the investment. Running at my own server from a DSL line I can say I host my domains cheap.

The NL version of Typepad has launched. I wish Maarten Schenk good luck.
As I read information correctly Typepad is for the somewhat more experienced or advanced weblogger .. Mmm but will they pay 60 euro’s a year for that? When they can get if free at 20six.nl or use web-log.nl?

I even wonder if the ‘Dutch’ weblog community will notice this all. Difference between US bloggers and Dutch loggers (in my opinion) is that there are only a few people following the development of weblogs. 90% of what I see is cut and past weblogging: finding entries somewhere else and paste it as a linkdump at the weblog.
I see it daily happen in my scrapedfeeds.com aggegrator.

It’s a pitty you cannot look into future ;-)

European Weblogs can ping the euro.weblogs.com (original purpose)
but now I see that it’s abused by ‘DomainHop‘ Domainhop is submitting a lot of pings from it’s own websites to attrack people.
Title of websites like: learn french kiss will forward you to a domainshop page about cooking and food!
I think I will remove the XML-RPC line in my config. As it give me less joy when a service is abused by others. Any solution for this AC?

Created a anonymous upload mechanism at the weblog last week, until now no-one has used it, tried it or abused it .. Internet is great.

Wow. Weblogcommunity 20six.nl (where you can start your own free weblog) has made great improvements the last months
rss, trackbacks, photolog etc.. One thing missing now is SMS to weblog (feature disabled? Not available anymore?) It’s still documented but I cannot find it anymore. Maybe a service not used too much?

It’s also stated that it’s free and keeps free for ‘basic’ weblogs
So web-log.nl, typepad .. you have a real big competitor … Cause this is wat weblog and community feeling should be.

I only dislike the rss feeds from the photoblog. IMG tags not included but simple description(s) grmbl .. ..

Anyone who can help creating a config file for MRTG with an accesspoint? I want to have extended information in MRTG and can use snmpwalk .. but I have no idea how to use it.
