NZBGET+WEB + UNPAK updated package

I’ve updated the nzbget + nzbgetweb +unpak.sh script with latest versions for the Conceptronic CH3SNAS:

  • NZBGet: NZBGet version 0.7.0-testing-r317
  • NZBGet Web Interface v 1.4 (testing-2)

the unpak script is little modified to fit the CH3SNAS configuration and has been changed to fit the config in NZBget Web when using the version 1.4 (testing-2).

Little How-To

Install Fun_Plug 0.5 of Fonz

Note: if you already run lighttpd you must make own adjustments to your lighttpd configuration and websettings

install the PHP package (needed for lighttpd).

  1. Download with wget http://www.aroundmyroom.com/ch3snas-funplug/php-5.2.6-3.tgzthe PHP package (temporary from my server) as the new updated PHP version of Fonz seems to break something. Install PHP with ‘funpkg -i php-5.2.6-3.tgz’

Update: after consulting Fonz (Tobias) I learned that the new version of PHP is compiled with CURL support. So it’s necessary to install the curl package as well

CH3SNAS: Firmware 1.05b04-r160

FINALLY !

… just the step before official release !
Conceptronic is about to release a new official firmware for CH3SNAS. After some time of technical difficulties with the progress of the firmware with non working ftp, failing UPnP server(s) (in certain conditions) this firmware should finally fix that so that the 1.04 series can be left behind.

This firmware will be tested by the R&D of Conceptronic during this week  but for beta testers, early adaptors, people who trust me or like to use the latest features and functionalities: download here the latest CH3SNAS firmware version 1.05b04-r160

Release note:

  • Due to some changes internally the UPnP server could not restart in certain situation. This UPnP Server is supporting XBOX360 as well as PlayStation 3
  • We also fixed an bug that people could not format the disk when the new inserted disk has already an partition inside. This function is not yet reviewed and tested by the R&D of Conceptronic.

CFULLHDMA(i): Release Candidate 1.17.04 firmware

Release Candidate 1.17.04 for beta testers.

Version v01.17.04 is beta where probably 1.17.05 will be used as official release with minor adjustments in translation mistakes.

  • Fixed: static IP address could not be saved
  • Fixed: reset iMedia functionality could not work as expected
  • Fixed: SHOUTCast Logo noise point
  • Fixed: ISO, DVD/IFO could not be played when using latest DMS software of Conceptronic (available in beta folder as well).
  • Fixed: music repeat mode crashed after changing server or directory.
  • Added: trp file extension to play video as mpeg2
  • Updated: translation table languages (still some pending mistakes)

Extra info for CH3SNAS 1.05b3 & UPnP

I like to get feedback when I ask for it, but when feedback is given many people do lack to give good information.
it’s fine telling me that something is wrong, but how you test is not written or badly described.  That is a missed opportunity.
So some persons reported that the UPnP AV server of the 1.05b3 firmware for CH3SNAS is not running. Ok I can accept that. Knowing that it was tested by one of my engineers. Of course he could have made a mistake .. but he was instructed ;-)

So I awoke on the sunday, finised the preparation of soup of asparagus and after that on my free Sunday I took my development CH3SNAS which is only running fun_plug to get telnet.
Some weeks ago I tested for someone something else so my version is:

1.58.0219.2009

Above version was revoked due to non working FTP Server.
I uploaded a fresh folder with MP3 music

in telnet I gave the command: ps
to see if everything was running and refreshed on the fly. With the CFULLHDMA I accessed the CH3SNAS UPnP Server and I played on of the music files. Everything ok

And just rebooted the device: Hey .. indeed no UPnP Server running anymore only some prescan and inotify stuff but the actual UPnP Server no go .. mmm someone in the comments was actually right Damn ..

Ok than I took my magic fingers, and at the backside I pressed the reset button (hell yeah, the BACK-SIDE and not the webinterface factory reset, cause that one does not do an actual forced hard reset. (to be sure 100% cause that thing is not placed there for nothing).

Restarted the CH3SNAS again and watched the magic happen.

UPDATE 18.42H After a reboot I can reproduce issue like reported by 2 users. I will do some more testings tomorrow. (it seems that you should not reboot the device after factory defaults (sigh)). that’s not ok

  • Remove 1080P on component output mode (component goes up to 1080i)
  • Fixed: some JPEG files cannot play DMS ( introduced from 1.16.07 ) (*updated DMS software later !)

  • New: Support for XBOX360.
  • New: Support Uptime in menu.
  • Changed: Improved the imprecise counter of disk formatting. (Notice: make sure there does not exist ANY partition on the HDD (especially when using a HDD already used. If there exist a partition it can fail the format very quick after starting the process.
  • Fixed: LAN speeds is always providing speed: 0 (see SETUP – LAN in User Interface) : Fixed.
  • Fixed: Email alert issue : unable to send out email with some SMTP server.
  • Fixed: UPnP AV server can play MKV video, but can’t play VOB and HD DivX video.

CFULLHDMA beta firmware 1.16.07

Quickly after releasing a public 1.16.06 firmware we do release a new beta 1.16.07

Not too much was changed only some small bugs

  • Fixed: extreme lipsync issue on some MKV files with DTS
  • Fixed: error 301 playing next file when streaming Youtube Videos
  • Fixed: AC3 -> OGG vorbis loading freeze issue
  • Fixed: DVD fast Forward would not continue under high speed iframe mode for some DVD files

notice: changing your language settings for GUI will also change the presets for Youtube (Selecting Dutch for instance will show you the most viewed videos for holland etc.. )

CFULLHDMA: Official release 1.16.06

Prepping a new official internet release for CFULLHDMA & CFULLHDMAi (already available through the Internet upgrade function in the device).

A lot of beta testers have given feedback the last few weeks and we have added many new functions to give the device more usability as well as we have fixed numerious bugs.

  • New: Audio Select functionality has changed in setup. You can select if certain audio (AC3, AAC, WMA PRo should be passed RAW or via PCM setting)
  • New: Offical Logo Shoutcast (partnership pending)

  • New: Support DTS/AC3/WMA/AAC S/PDIF setting in the Setup menu (S/PDIF RAW or PCM)

  • Fixed: UPnP client crashed when a Sonos device was in a network
