Wow. Weblogcommunity 20six.nl (where you can start your own free weblog) has made great improvements the last months
rss, trackbacks, photolog etc.. One thing missing now is SMS to weblog (feature disabled? Not available anymore?) It’s still documented but I cannot find it anymore. Maybe a service not used too much?
It’s also stated that it’s free and keeps free for ‘basic’ weblogs
So web-log.nl, typepad .. you have a real big competitor … Cause this is wat weblog and community feeling should be.
I only dislike the rss feeds from the photoblog. IMG tags not included but simple description(s) grmbl .. ..
Conceptronic’s C54APT with SNMP & MRTG
through a forum and Barcelona Wireless I was able to modify the firmware of my Conceptronic C54APT accesspoint to give it SNMP. The firmware used was for Dlink’s DWL-2100 AccessPoint. Using the MIB file found at the website of DLINK and D-View 5.1 I could determine the OIDs for IfInUcastPkts and IfOutUcastPkts (1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.11.1 and 2 (where 1 is WLAN, and 2 is LAN))
Option: IfInUcastPkts and IfOutUcastPkts are used for determining the transferred / received Data. With this data I was able to make a config file for MRTG. You can use it freely :-) if you find glitches or any additional options: please mail them to me.

Anyone who can help creating a config file for MRTG with an accesspoint? I want to have extended information in MRTG and can use snmpwalk .. but I have no idea how to use it.

Make fun (a fool) of Netstat
AroundMyRoom weblog is banned as domain at netstat (creating statistics of the webste) due to the fact that more than one year ago some shithead was spamming my domain with hits so that I achieved more hits than expected. For netstat it seemed I was abusing their service. My domain aroundmyroom.com is now a forbidden URL at netstat and even after sending them e-mails they do not respond to my request for help or removing the ban. I did not do anything wrong: a spammer was abusing the service and causing me bandwidth problems at that time.
Now: I have netstat again. Not using my domain anymore but another URL where my domain resides at. This is working. So I can use netstat again. Just testing and see if this keeps functioning.
Dutch NewsPaper: AD into RSS
Algemeen Dagblad published their RSS feeds today
Reason for me to remove the AD scrapedfeeds from scrapedfeeds.com. Maybe some scrapes will still exist as AD did not create them (extended info from a category). Again a newspaper who saw the light!
