Yesterday Lilian and I visited the 3FM radio studio, Dutch national Radio. Peter who is a technician there and also mixfreaker invited us to join him (no show from the 3FM studio, so he was alone). We had a great time yesterday. Peter gave us a guided tour through the studio. Saw ‘everything’.
The studio is just new and great to see (but sound can still improve).
I took a lot of images and you can find them here. Above an image of me: wannabe DJ.
First time behind microphone and first time I heard my voice processed: not bad. Better than unprocessed ;-)
So radio freaks: enjoy the 3FM images.

Okay: the parking-garage (in the basement) has been covered with concrete.
A lot of concrete. Last saturday we made again a number of images to see how the construction of our new appartment is going .. it’s going fast.
you can find more info about all @ [grifstate.com]

Battlestar Galactica – The Mini Series
It has been more than 40 years since the humans of the 12 Colonies of Kobol did battle with the Cylons – a sentient robot race who turned on their creators with deadly results.

Tonight I replaced my Alcatel/Draytek DSL/PPTP connection to a direct PPPoA connection with a ‘test-sample’ ADSL Annex A modem with 802.11g (54Mbps) wireless.
I had to test all settings and made some adjustments to my mrtg statistics configurations (I like statistics and SNMP is supported in this device)
I’m wondering about the performance and stability of this new device so I’ll give it a try. So we are back in business again!
I received from the upper upper floor of our building a message that I had to go to Antwerpen (belgium) today to solve a problem. a VIP could not access the internet anymore and the people of Belgacom could not do the job.
the 2 people from Belgacom suck big-time
On their paper they wrote: DSL modem okay, DSL line ok, problem maybe network card??
I had to travel 2.5 hours (arrived around 15.00h) to Antwerpen to see that they did not made a tcp/ip connection on IP level to the Alcatel DSL modem. And as there was no DHCP server enabled I had to to it manually.
After I found out how PPPoE needed to work (ENTERNET) The problem was fixed in 5 minutes..
In less than 45 minutes I was back in my car knowing that a the upper upper floor people were happy again..
now driving back to Apeldoorn. Home 19.30 (traffic jam, rain, accidents.. seen it all today).
