First of all thanks to my readers about answering the questions about the Network Attached Storage. Helpful. Looking at the answers I still have a lot of advanced users as blog reader. The ‘common’ man / woman did not enter any of the questions. So the probably I had to ask the question:
How do you ‘sell’ a NAS device to your brother, mother in law, sister or friend without computer knowledge but having a internet subscription with router …….
So newsservers: eweka has too less bandwidth towards my new ISP, causing only to give me 1MB/s download where I should be able to reach 3MB/s
Now I switched to XSNEWS but too bad: this weekend they suffer from issues on speed and authentication as well. Terrible !!!!
You don’t.
They have no clue where exactly their data is. They only know that if you open Word it finds it magically. They typically use just one computer and if there is a need to share they mail. They don’t see the need for a NAS.
You need at least one techie in the house to enable it in the network, reconfigure their pc’s to use it and support it indefinitely.
Leuk dat je NAS het zo perfect doet met het downloaden van het aloude usenet, helaas wil mijn NZBGEt het sinds 1 week niet meer doen. Hij heeft hiervoor toch echt 8gb aan film binnengehaald en nu issie ermee gestopt. Het uploaden van NZB bestanden wil niet meer.. heb jij enig idee?
Ik kan via Google niet vinden hoe ik NZBget kan unistalleren of een goede manier, is daar wel een manier voor? En zo nee, kan ik dan de nzbget folder verwijderen en daarna een fresh nzbget installatie installeren?

reboot je nas eens en zorg ervoor dat je de logfile eens verwijderd, het kan zijn dat als de logfile te groot wordt eea niet meer wil starten.
En anders eens je logfile bekijken wat voor reden er aangegeven wordt dat ie niet wil starten.
ik download honderden gigabytes en geen centje pijn.
Ik heb de newsbin folder recursive verwijderd, en daarna doormiddel van WGET de zeroday versie hier bij aroundmyroom gedownload.
Met tar unpacked, hierna krijg ik bij het starten van startnzbget.sh de melding dat /mnt/HD_a2/newsbin/bin/nzbget niet te vinden is.
Hoe los ik dit op?
