Onderweg naar CES 2011 – Las Vegas

5.57 spoor 4 Apeldoorn naar schiphol, aankomst 7.08AM, daarna inchecken vertrekhal 3, bagage afgeven bij de dropoff. 2 tickets in de hand: Amsterdam – Houston, een vlucht van 11 uur, en daarna nog 3 en een half uur vliegen van Houston naar Las Vegas. In Houston 2 uur de tijd om over te stappen.

We vertrekken vanaf G4 en momenteel zijn de beveiligingsmedewerkers alles aan het controleren. Het duurt nog wel even voordat we kunnen gaan boarden. Ik ben lekker op tijd ;-)

Happy New Year 2011 !!! .

No idea what we will do in 2011, but maybe this blog will go another direction. As usual: this is my playground and you are invited .. Maybe this blog will be more about the technology, stuff I like or stuff I see around ..

We will see and for now I have no clue .. A lot of projects I am involved in .. and those also need some attention .. For sure the Happy New Year banner will be replaced cause we have now real champagne and not only ‘Cava’ ;)

MySQL prefix

found out that some of my databases of some of my sites had a #mysql50# prefix. Not knowing what it was I suddenly also discovered that none of these sites were accessible (aarrchhhhhh)

This seems to be a known issue: MySQL introduces encoding for table names that have non-ASCII characters (see Section 8.2.3,

My boss wants me to go to LV (Las Vegas) .. to attend the CES and have several meetings. That’s kewl. Seeing new stuff and talking with partners and potential customers, clients, factories, etc.. Busy .. cause when flying back to Holland 9th of January I will flying 11
