Yearmixes

In the old days.. I listened to Curry and van Inkel, a famous radioshow from Veronica at Friday’s. 2 records after 8 PM, or the other week 2 records afer 9 they played a ‘Minimix’ by Ben Liebrand

The last week of that year (From 83 to 92) Veronica played the Grandmix made by Ben.

Nowadays I’m still a mix, remix, yearmix fan. The mailinglist for mixfreaks is maintained by me. This year I had the idea to maintain also a page to track all yearmixes made by DJ’s here in Holland and Germany.

WAUW !!!! what a party time this year. Have a look !

psst. My girlfriend is connected wireless (IEEE 802.11B) to my network and is listening to my Mix/Remix/Yearmix MP3’s. Life is beautiful.

Last week December

Okay: Yesterday we started:

Donna’s Yearmix by Erwin de Null from Belgium.

The last week of the year is filled with the best music of 2001. Not normal played with a DJ who is talking through the records but all records mixed together.

This year: more than 18 persons are making a yearmix.. WOW ..

I am happy. Great year with music.

Let op !

Gabber, Hardhouse komt weer terug.. Let op MIJN woorden !

Dachten we eindelijk verlost te zijn van die kaalkoppen, sjonnies, Anita’s en traingingspakkies… Maar nee hoor. Langzaam heel langzaam komt het terug.

Zo las ik in de Mixfreaks (1) mailinglijst (2):
de kwaliteit ligt tegenwoordig veel hoger … het nieuwe Hardcore is meer te vergelijken met harde club / trance qua geluidskwaliteit en melodie etc. Het hersenloze “beuken” is niet meer.
