ICQ

in 2001 werd ICQ nog veel gebruikt door vele mensen. Nu zit ik dagelijks MSN en Skype te gebruiken. Toch heb ik vandaag weer mijn ICQ account uit de kast gehaald: 825-639 WOW .. het werkt nog steeds. Zelfs al mijn contacten staan er nog in (niet dat ze online zijn, momenteel 4 oude contacten online). Ik bemerk dat veel US contacts ICQ nog gebruiken, dus wellicht is dit handig voor op het notebook.

B.t.w. ICQ was en is de tool waarmee ik de eerste contacten met Lilian heb gelegd. ;-)

Landisk firmware upgrade

New firmware upgrade: NAS-BASIC47-B4

New beta firmware released by RDC. I’ve uploaded it into my landisk section. There are no release notes but you can use your LANDISK with VISTA now. One issue remains: passwords on folders do not work when trying to access through Vista

  • Big Memory not return (dlink switch loopback)
  • Office 2007 access stoage (excel, powerpoint etc.) garbage temp files will be saved
  • scandisk web page auto refresh (probably not implemented in my html stuff)
  • Show mac address in status screen

Emigreren

Het schijnt dat deze man, een bekende dj, gaat emigreren. Naar het verre Canada zo lijkt het. De woning (en kantoor & studio) (mooi monumentaal pand) staat inmiddels te koop.

Met de hedendaagse techniek is verweggistan nog steeds dichtbij. Canada: op mijn wens lijstje om daar eens vakantie te te vieren. Via een onofficieel kanaal wist ik het al en gister werd het duidelijk via de Mixfreaks Mailinglijst.
