Ik las net een artikel op de yellowlemon tree site en dacht: even kijken waar ik deze maand sta (nu geef ik eigenlijk weinig om lijstjes), maar het is wel vreemd dat ik ineens foetsie ben ..
Zelfs de ‘fixed link’ waar mijn weblog op bereikbaar was is weg .. gone .. nada .. noppes niets..

Wow .. just discovered that my name pop-ups on Wikipedia .. And it’s more or less true what you can read there. But it was / is not all about bootlegs: it was all about to get the best radio recording of the Grandmix .. nothing else, nothing more .. ;-)
Last week I ordered the DMC CD-10 (The Ben Liebrand Grandmix 1989) which was very rare and hard to get.
Today I received it from the offical distributor (Disco Mix Club).
The Grandmix 1989 is sent by DMC in a cd-sleeve (plastic) and this ‘official’ re-press looks like it is burned on a writeable CD. The printing (cover / title book) looks more professional. Total Price: 15 pounds 50 .. (for 35 euro you can get it from ebay now)
I’m happy to have this official CD (although it is a re-print) .. .. b.t.w. the CD contains more than 99 tracks but has ‘indexes’ so that the total amount of tracks is showing 99. Where the indexes are you can see this when reading the booklet ..
Update: checking the code inside the CD (AIW700T) it learns me that it are indeed writables: SONY CD-R 52x INKJET PRINTABLE FULL FACE CD’s ..
Uhmmm.. ben ik eens rijkelijk laat met het lezen van nieuwsberichten. Oink (een bittorrent site) is down gehaald ivm de pre-releases die ze veelal aanboden. Oh was dat zo? Dat wist ik nie ..
update: Het artikel laat de mensen ook denken dat Oink gelijk staat aan ‘de Scene’ zoals men dat zo mooi noemt. Dat is natuurlijk kolder .. Bittorrent staat ergens bijna geheel aan de eind van de lijn: dus gewoon dicht (TE) bij de consument. Zodat ‘massa’ distributie aanwezig is.
Maar goed: niet alle nummers kunnen op 1 staan dus je kan al het muziek ook niet op 1 hoop gooien .. Waarom heb je anders hitlijstjes: en voor troep betaald men in de winkel ook niet. Waarom zou je dat dan wel moeten doen op het internet?
Een bedrijfsgeheim onthuld: de Hema rookworst wordt door Unox in Oss gemaakt.
Maar ondanks dat: en ik schreef er al eerder over: de kwaliteit van de worst nu is niet meer te vergelijk met dezelfde worst 5 tot 10 jaar geleden.
In kwaliteit is deze er dramatisch op achteruit gegaan.

Dear makers of Heroes, if you want to create a trustworty tv-show: do NEVER enclose such scenes with the father of Claire, Mr. Bennet” or “the Man in Horn-Rimmed Glasses” aka HRG, and the black dude, the Haitian. into the serie again like in Episode 5 of season 2. The background totally does not match with the studio images. I know it can be expensive to send a team to Europe (where you want us to believe some paintings are) but than: DO IT !.. and do not use ‘STOCK’ video footage. This is just blue / green screen kinda thing.
This was really a bummer for me!
