Live from Schiphol

Arrived at Schiphol and using one of their PC’s for blogging :-) That’s what I call addicted.

Problem: Wireless does work, you get an IP address from the Schiphol internet Accesspoint, (nearby the B and C gate) the gateway is working but the personal access code is NOT verified. So not wireless Internet. Maybe I can comment (and I will). Using on of the fixed-machines does work. But from my notebook with wireless WIFI card. NOPE ..
The clock is ticking. 15 minutes for 2.95 Euro. It’s worth trying.

Attingo does not have many restrictions. I can use my livestream here at the system. Listening to Janet Jackson right now. That’s cool .. :-) (yes volume can be set very loud !!)

No delays expected with Transavia to Barcelona. at 20.15 I will be picked up by a collegue.

Peercast

I’ve just tested the Peercast stream with Adam. He is listening to me in Belgium. This is kewl. It’s actually working flawlessly.

Suc6 story 1 :-) but we keep testing!
Easy to adapt. Working in 10 minutes (it takes a little long to verify).
If you have Peercast my stream cannot be missed: ‘Mixfreaks “Dennis Slagers” Server.

“Dennis fired up peercast and is streaming his MixFreaks mp3s. Totally 80’s kickass stuff. Beauty is that I’m in Belgium receiving his broadcast from the Netherlands. Neither of us are communicating with a central server. I’m receiving his signal from another listener in the ‘chain’. Big stuff here. Expect entertainment to come in ‘network form’, where you are a part of the physical network.”

Work

Almost demo time here in France/Paris.
Trying to start the internet/network and other stuff but it’s difficult to adapt your settings into a new environment and get it working. I hate working on a live network.

Updated News: home tonight, tomorrow-evening I leave for Barcelona. However not seen any tickets yet. Thursday & Friday: training people about modems, isdn, adsl etc.. than back home Friday-evening.
