Server was offline for a couple of hours. No Idea what was causing the lock down. Bandwidth stat showed some wierd behaviour. I’m now checking stuff.
Ah .. reason found .. the reason why your server was offline: the APC connector was loose .. Duhhhhhhh
After 1 hour trying, pressing multiple times the powercycle button in the service-center I am up again
of course the firewall is not ok yet ;-)
Message to self: xs4all wijzigt IP adressen van een x-aantal klanten waaronder ik. Dus volgende week DNS onderdelen omzetten en herconfiguratie server onderdelen naar een nieuw IP ..
update php 5.1.x to php 5.2.8. Needed by some applications on this server. Seems to work fine .. Fingers crossed on this new server ..

I’m not really happy as it’s still a little unknown to me how to do this unattended (storing authorized keys is a little abacadabra for me) ..
Due to some issues I have now a new server for all my websites. Slowly I am copying all data and databases. For you, this site visitor, it means more speed, quicker loading of pages. So be happy ;-)
I’ve 4 databases running for this site (banner, trac, forum, weblog) .. and all data was quickly transferred. Not much I had to do to have all things running .. DNS updated .. Whoalla ..
if you read this, your DNS is updated and the site is running from the new server .. I will have to test the mail .. but we will see how that is working ;-)
Server rebooted, NFS backup server added to fstab
Certain processes caused the server not to work as I wanted so reboot was necessary
Fixed certain virtual hosts settings to have /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd starting ok
This morning a memory issue caused the server to crash
This afternoon I have updated PHP 4 to PHP5, this makes the server more flexible for certain scripts.
Noticed that the ftp script for the backup still was messing up my cron, but I was able to kill those sessions.
Anyone an idea:
files from /server/* must be ftp-ed into an new to make folder onto a ftp server from a commandline (shell script)
Anyone a hint how to do that?
The Conceptronic CH3WNAS was having an issue with users having a large collection of AV media and it’s UPnP AV server.
version 1.04 will fix the processing of +10.000 files in UPnP AV mode
