CFULLHDMA:TIP

Tip: it could happen that the CFULLHDMA is crashing and that it does not react to the remote control anymore to reset it.

The first solution is to remove the power connector, but a 2nd not documented feature is to do it with the ‘green’ button at the backside

Press the ‘green’ button 1 time for about 1 second, then release, then press again for 5 seconds. The CFULLHDMA will be turned off.

De CD Wisselaar

Wah.. hebben ze een cd-wisselaar vergeten in te bouwen in m’n autootje .. terwijl dat wel gewenst was .. komen ze vandaag langs om in te bouwen .. tikken ze de code in: werkt niet .. proberen ze nogmaals: werkt niet .. en dat terwijl ze het gisteren nog ‘uitgeprobeerd’ hebben ..

Nu moeten ze alnog de oto meenemen om dat kreng in te bouwen .. Grappemakers …

update: bleek het voor deze auto toch een andere code te zijn .. tssk.. maar ut werkt uit de kunst nu.

CFULLHDMA: 1.10.05.06 beta

As we are busy to move the CFULLHDMA from Linux 2.4 kernel to Linux 2.6 we are mainly testing it internally. Today I can present you an update beta firmware which is experimental so very limited support.

Due to the difference in kernel it can happen that an already fixed issue is happening again or that there is a new issue seen you did not encounter with the 1.09.28.06 firmware.

issues reported which are not solved yet or mentioned are under investigation, being fixed etc..

v01.10.05

  • fixing MKV embedded subtitle issue: (S_SSA or S_ASS type)
  • fixing playback audio codec AAC-LC within MKV 
  • fixing FF or FB does not work: becomes slow motion after pressing five times te slow button an pressing FF or FB.
  • Disable FF, FB, Repeat, AB mode, Pause, and Slow for Internet streaming.
  • fixing SRT subtitle control code < > characters issue
  • fixing SRT subtitle issue with dummy extra new line
  • Resume music playback when playing the music file which is playing now.  (Do not play it from the begining).  Cannot support this feature for Internet streaming.
  • Fixing some music file cannot be continously played after exiting the play music window if set “Music Auto Play” as “Repeat”.
  • Support for external subtitle when playing MP4 files
  • Remember Samba user name and Password (1 username/password right now)

  • Fixing the URL of iMedia may end with space of invalid character. 
  • Fixing that system need longer time to power off if USB storage is attached.
  • Fixing  a system crash when decoding some JPEG files.
  • Fixing a system crash when play mkv files in some cases.
  • Fixing a system crash when playing next music files sometimes.
  • Fixing samba client feature cannot automatically scan again.
  • Fixing that DMS server won’t be removed if power-off or unplug cable of PC which running DMS.

CH3SNAS: status update

status update about 1.04RC5 firmware and reported bugs

1. After reboot, the time is 1 hour behind: can be reproduced and will be fixed now

2. Firefox cannot change password from user: can be reproduced and will be fixed now

3. HDD cannot be in standby: cannot be reproduced

4. Unicode part under review when mounting samba share with unicode characters (not displayed properly on cfullhdma, when using nfs no problem

Bejing, Olympics: kuch kuch?

Iedereen denkt dat China, of beter de stad Bejing altijd smog heeft. Deze foto is vorig jaar 4 september 2007 door mezelf gemaakt zo rondom het middag uur. De aanbouw van het olympisch stadion. Geen smog te zien. Gedurende de 5 dagen dat we in Bejing waren was de smog niet zo erg als wat we kunnen en konden zien. Met andere woorden: wij hadden ontzettend veel geluk om de omgeving van Bejing te zien waarin we ver konden kijken.

De maatregelen die de Chinese regering neemt en heeft genomen zal ervoor zorgen dat de aanmaak van smog zal verminderen. Echter wanneer er smog is, zal dit niet 1-2-3 wegtrekken.

De foto hierboven, laat in het eerste geval een schrikbarende smog zien, omdat door windstilte en geen regen de smog zich niet kan oplossen (of kan neerdalen). Echter … na een fikse regenbui (ook daar kan het regenen) is de smog neergeslagen en is de lucht helder.

Nu de regering dus maatregelen heeft genomen is de kans dat de smog in de vorm zoals in de tweede foto te zien is geminimaliseerd is. Je kan zeggen en schrijven wat je wilt over China, maar het is een verdomd mooi land met leuke, aardige mensen ..

En voor de sporters (en speciaal Marleen) Suc6 !
