Uhmmm I think SpamAssassin swallowed an e-mail of SixApart/Movabletype, cause I suddenly get an e-mail about ‘beta-testing’ MT 3.0, a ‘Thank You’

So as Donater and Beta Tester I get next week a ‘discount code’

Also a ‘little’ reaction on all the feed back they received: changes in the licenses will be posted later today/tomorrow…

A quick evaluation/review of WordPress: it needs too much features still to be any competition for MovableType.

The only advise I can give at this time is to try the equivalent, but with more features and other things: Pivot !
No MySQL needed. Just PHP and it is FAST really fast and easy !

Many users dislike the action of SixApart, what to think of:

In light of the recent hari-kari being performed by Six Apart with regard to MT’s new pricing, I’d like to recommend Textpattern to those who now find themselves in need of an alternative.
Don’t get me wrong – MT is great, but the new pricing plan is ludicrous for personal users.

With the economy in a dip, people less investing money .. It could be the end of MovableType for normal users.

I will give WordPress a try.
For others try: Pivot !

Movabletype 3.0 is in beta 3 stage. Still no message that I am allowed to join the beta part party. (No Idea Why).

I can test a lot, have own server bla bla bla .. :0(
