CFULLHDMA: Release Candidate: 1.09.32.06 Firmware

After getting valueable feedback from beta testers using e-mail and the bugtraq system I’m about to release a new firmware version (Release Candidate).
We do release this firmware with Kernel 2.4 so that’s why you will see 1.09.32 as firmware version
Kernel 2.4 firmware images will be released in the 1.09.xx. range and Kernel 2.6 firmware images in the range 1.10.xx 

Firmware versions in the 1.10.xx range will not be released to the public yet. 

It is the intention to release this version (1.09.32.06) as internet upgrade and as downloadable firmware file from the official website before the end of this week.

New Beta firmware Release (Release Candidate)

  • fixed: issue where watchdog could not operate
  • fixed: ogg music playback (fast backword to the begin of music file)
  • fixed: zoom minimum size is zero
  • fixed: Some playlists were not played well
  • fixed: In certain conditions MKV file could stutter
  • fixed: IMedia could crash
  • fixed: zoom button keeps in screen (press zoom, adjust screen and after few seconds icon disappears)
  • fixed: DVD cannot display subtitle when there is only one subtitle track (no menu)
  • Improved: Recognize playlist by it’s extension (treat as a folder)
  • Improved: iMedia music stream robustness
  • add new feature: flac support: (note: some FLAC files could give issues: which is under investigation)
  • add new feature: increase zoom rate
  • add new feature: when playing music enable also the screensaver
  • add new feature: support external subtitles for ts, mov, mp4 and wmv, m2ts
  • add new feature: support IGMP for UDP streams
  • add new feature: Save Samba Username & Password
  • add new feature: seek by time. Press 0 to enter 00:00 [hh:mm], if you want to jump to 50 minutes you enter: 0->0->5->0 at the screen you will see: GOTO 0_:__ [hh:mm]” when ‘0’ is pressed (not for DVD playback)

This upgrade is available now. Use the Internet Update function in the setup menu to update to 1.09.32.06 People using beta 1.10.xx.xx should upgrade manually by USB. The update file will be available through the official website tomorrow 15/08/08

How to fix you CHD3NET (RDC 2891 LANDISK)

This fix is for those who have a Conceptronic CHD3NET (or any device running RDC’s 2891 LANDISK chipset) and upgraded it to a new firmware but where it did not reboot properly: here’s the tip how-to restore the firmware especially when your firmware upgrade failed and you are only able to ping to the NAS.

Other features seem unusable to start: the web user interface at 169.254.0.1  cannot start and TFTP functions are also not functioning (RDC does not support Telnet) so it seems you are now the ‘proud’ owner of an USB storage device!

Here’s are the steps how you can try to fix your bricked LANDISK with RDC 2891 chipset:

1) Download the latest firmware
2) Download this file
3) unzip this file somewhere on you harddrive and browse to the ‘Utility Tool’  Directory. Execute Scan ip.exe and perform a scan, after a moment your NAS will be found by the program.

4) Select the NAS from the list and press the SETUP NAS button, you might get some error message but just ignore them. Now you’ll entered a menu where you’ll be able to download new firmware to the NAS.

5) Browse to the directory where you saved the .bin firmware and upload this to you NAS, afterwards you’ll need to reboot and back is you WebInterface

Finally I see the stats that a certain kind of people / public checks the ads … I’ve one site (created by Lilian): Tapas Recepten which does really generate some hits on the ads .. But when I take my site, it does not reach 20% of all the hits for ads as Tapas recepten .. WOW .. depending on what kind of people you attract to your site it will generate hits on ads ..

Mmmm what could I do to improve a natural raise of visits to the ad-sites … mmmm

CFULLHDMA:TIP

Tip: it could happen that the CFULLHDMA is crashing and that it does not react to the remote control anymore to reset it.

The first solution is to remove the power connector, but a 2nd not documented feature is to do it with the ‘green’ button at the backside

Press the ‘green’ button 1 time for about 1 second, then release, then press again for 5 seconds. The CFULLHDMA will be turned off.

De CD Wisselaar

Wah.. hebben ze een cd-wisselaar vergeten in te bouwen in m’n autootje .. terwijl dat wel gewenst was .. komen ze vandaag langs om in te bouwen .. tikken ze de code in: werkt niet .. proberen ze nogmaals: werkt niet .. en dat terwijl ze het gisteren nog ‘uitgeprobeerd’ hebben ..

Nu moeten ze alnog de oto meenemen om dat kreng in te bouwen .. Grappemakers …

update: bleek het voor deze auto toch een andere code te zijn .. tssk.. maar ut werkt uit de kunst nu.
