Psst: We are still blogging !!

Wow .. just looked at Archive.org they archived AroundMyRoom since 2001 and WAUW .. every single entry I still have. Blogging more than 11 years and still keep blogging about things I enjoy.

Yesterday I installed Windows 8. And I am using it now .. Started in the IT when MS-DOS was exchanged for Windows 3.11 and where Windows 95 was a huge turn in how a PC was being used. Now with Windows 8 Microsoft tries it again. A totally different approach than before. I have to get used to that .. Change .. Change

I wonder how long I will keep on blogging. After 11 years the updates are not that much anymore, but hey, we do have Facebook now, we do have Twitter (did you know I do archive all my tweets myself and is part of this weblog !) and many other social things like Foursquare ..

Keep tracking this website, nice things are going to happen. Especially as I am watching Shark Tank now ;-)

Personal Achievements: Create a product what can win prices

Proud, proud to see that the product I have developed, (from idea to end (the whole product development )) finally wins a price in the category: Best Professional Storage Product. The Freecom SilverStore 2-Drive NAS wins over Promise, G-Tech, Synology and IOmega.. the MAC WORLD 2012 awards ..

Bummer …. and they had to let me go due to an internal reorganisation. I am Seeking a new job …. with this kind of achievement somebody must notice and see the potential not?

Spitsvrij.nl

Hoi Hoi .. ik ben geselecteerd om mee te doen aan de spitsvrij actie die men (Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Mileu en waarbij de provincie utrecht de opdrachtgever is) in de regio A1,A27,A28,A12 aan het doen is. Ik kan geld verdienen door niet in de spits te gaan rijden. (Dat gaat nooit lukken, vooral ook omdat ik gewoonweg teveel kilometers moet rijden om de spits

10 Jaar Webloggen; dat doen er nog maar weinig na ..

AroundMyRoom bestaat 10 jaar .. Dus hebben we hier ‘intern’ even een klein feestje ..

Begonnen me het het webloggen toen ik een wereldreis rondom de wereld won (Libertel Around The World, de spelsite draait nog steeds en is in al die jaren nooit van een update of nieuwe inhoud voorzien), ergens in het begin van 2001. Eerst webloggen via een tool via weblogger.com, daarna via een servertje met een van de eerste versies van Pivot en kort daarna overgestapt naar Movabletype, ook nog een tijdje blogger.com en dan nu alweer enige jaren WordPress.

Tijd gaat hard .. en alle berichten zijn nog steeds hier te lezen ..
